Specification of a motion

Both centrodes of a pericycloidal motion are circles. Moving centrode rolls by its internal circumference along the external circumference of fixed centrode. Trajectories of moving points and envelopes of moving curves are pericycloids. The pericycloidal motion is inverse to hypocycloidal motion.
